Our fridge was bustin' full of goodies so I decided to thin it out and try to be creative.
Okay so I had some pesto and tomatoes on the verge of going bad. I also had some cheese that needed to be gobbled up. Hmmm... Oh and I bought lots of onions on Saturday at the Farmer's Market...
HMMMMMMMMMMM....
Pasta? Pesto Pasta? Pamela's Pesto Pasta? YUM. Here we go.
Boil up some pasta. Whatever you've got. We're using Organic whole wheat rotelle from TJ's.
Afghani Cilantro Pesto from Ptown Farmer's Market (also available at WF San Ramon)
D thinks these will go well with the pasta. Organic baby bread sticks from TJ's.
Diced organic roma tomatoes and 1/2 of an organic red onion.
My sous chef putting the tomatoes and onions in our serving bowl.
Digging through the fridge, I found some leftover organic chicken (I had roasted it and this was put aside for chicken salad). Decided to throw it in the pasta. yum!
Drain the pasta and give yourself a facial while you're at it. We mom's don't get many facials these days!
Acoutremonts! (That's fancy talk for toppings) We've got more Afghani goodies -- sweet jalepeno & garlic mint cheese, some goat cheese, olive oil and fancy fig balsalmic vinegar from Livermore Wine Country. Are y'all drooling??
Imagine Delilah saying the following... TA DA!!!!
We all gobbled it up. I also served sliced organic strawberries and not enough bread sticks. Pasta = WIN! Lack of bread = FAIL! Oh well, can't win 'em all.
